Description
The Return Transom, manufactured from pressed steel, is designed to fit over a Ledger, creating a return in the scaffold structure. It features a seating area on one side compatible with Steelstage or Timber Battens.
These transoms are typically constructed from a rolled "T" section, incorporating wedge fixing devices at each end for secure attachment. An alternative configuration utilizes back-to-back angles, effectively forming a "T" profile.
Engagement of the Return Transom with the "V" pressings on the Standards/Verticals provides transverse fixation of the inner and outer standards, thereby contributing to the overall rigidity and frame integrity of the scaffold.
