Purpose of Scaffolding
Scaffolding or also called a temporary framework or Steel structure.
Scaffolding is a temporary structure of Steel or Aluminium. Scaffolding is used for the purpose of giving support to work and material while doing various construction activities, maintenance & repair activity jobs of Buildings Etc.
Scaffolding is used to get to heights and areas of structures that otherwise cannot be reached without it.
Different companies are using different types of Scaffolding systems. Normally a scaffolding being used by a company, they prefer to continue with a similar type of scaffolding for the usage.
The type of Scaffolding manufactured at CLIFF is mainly – Ringlock, Kwikstage ( wedge lock ), Cuplock, Frame scaffold, Props, Post shores, Tube & fittings, Bridge Post legs, Bracings, Guard Rails Etc and are used with Base jacks.
Each type is made from a different type of components: Specialized components used to assist a temporary steel structure often include heavy-duty load-bearing items, ladders or stairways, Steel ladder beam & steel unit beams are also used with walk boards also called Planks; are used to keep material while using on sites and these are also used for workers to stand on the scaffold system while performing their respective tasks on the scaffolding.
Scaffolding is erected and the Safety inspector put Tags on the scaffold, which confirms to workers that scaffold is fit to use after inspection done by the safety inspectors. Unsafe scaffolding has the potential to result in serious injury.
Scaffolding other than used on the building, these are also used on temporary structure which is being used at Oil & Gas industry, widely used in mining activities, Ship Building, Industrial use, Electrical & Power sector.
